Prior to joining Activision, Ann was Chief Human Resources Officer at US Foods and a key member of this $30 billion company's executive leadership team. A thought leader and valued business partner, Ann was a key advisor to the US Foods Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, she was a driving force in the successful financial and cultural turnaround of the company, leading to the eventual sale of this national foodservice distributor in 2007. While at US Foods, Ann was responsible for human resources strategy and implementation as well as internal communication and safety.
Ann’s career has focused primarily on the consumer food sector, with assignments at M&M Mars, and Kraft Foods, among other leading companies. Ann has also held key positions at Baxter Healthcare and a large office products distributor. With this wealth of experience, she is fluent across many functional areas including manufacturing, distribution, sales and research and development.
Ann's professional commitment to talent development led to her engagement with the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. She serves on the Reigel and Emory Human Resources Advisory Board and has been a frequent guest speaker in both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Following her retirement, Ann enthusiastically pursued the opportunity to become an instructor in Human Resources at the Moore School; she is now a popular professor.
Recognized and sought out for her business leadership and organizational expertise, Ann serves on the board of advisors for Kiz Studios, an independent video game and entertainment studio. In addition, Ann serves on the board of directors and is chairman of the Human Resources committee for the Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center in Glenview, Illinois and the Personnel committee of the Sea Island Habitat for Humanity in Johns Island, South Carolina. Ann is a frequent speaker at HR conferences across the US and has served as an expert witness in employment related litigation.
Ann attended the California State University-Long Beach, where she earned a bachelor of arts in Sociology while working full-time; this experience provided an excellent foundation for the demanding global business career that would follow.
