My RiseSmart Story: Client Services Manager, Misty Gruita

Today we shine the spotlight on Misty Gruita, Client Services Manager.
Briefly describe what you do at RiseSmart.
I serve as a main point of contact for many of our customers. In addition to overseeing daily operations, a huge part of my role is uncovering the needs of our business partners, providing valuable solutions, and ensuring seamless service delivery of our services. Simply stated, I help people. My main focus is to strive for excellence in all we do, whether it is training managers on best practices for notification and redeployment, coordinating onsite support for reductions in force, or overseeing and ensuring participant satisfaction.
What were you doing before RiseSmart?
I used to work as a Human Resources Generalist. I also have a very strong background in talent acquisition, employee relations, and major account management.
How did you end up learning about RiseSmart?
Believe it or not, I actually found RiseSmart through traditional means. I did a Boolean search for the type of role I was seeking and, lo and behold, there the position of my dreams was posted on a job board!
What made you decide to work for RiseSmart?
When I researched this role (and RiseSmart in general) I had what I like to call an “ah ha” moment: Here was this award-winning company that had received recognition from its employees as a one of the “Best Places to Work” for several years in a row… and they were hiring!
I also loved that RiseSmart was taking an innovative approach to outplacement. It was an opportunity to be a part of something new and exciting: a company that was shaking things up in the best possible way. From their core values to the corporate culture, everything was a fit. I felt like Cinderella, and RiseSmart was my glass slipper.
What is your favorite thing about working for RiseSmart?
The corporate culture can’t be beat. We truly do have some of the best employees around.
What are your favorite hobbies or activities to do outside of work?
As a not so secret admirer of all things Martha Stewart, I love cooking, crafting, reading, and decorating. On any given weekend you can pretty much count on finding me doing one of the activities above with my husband and two adorable children.
Describe a “WOW” experience you’ve had or given since working for RiseSmart.
When I first came on board I was blown away by the passion & helpfulness of our employees. No matter the question, it never felt like an imposition. We are a well-oiled team!
