Features & Benefits

Transition Concierge® in three words: Twice as fast.

Twice as fast. Those three little words mean everything to displaced employees and to their former employers. Transition Concierge outplacement services from RiseSmart help workers find new jobs twice as fast as the national average, and that kind of speed is the most important thing to RiseSmart clients and to their former employees.

For Your Employees

Give employees the four most powerful features available to help find a new job, fast. Using RiseSmart’s Transition Concierge, displaced employees can access:

1. Highly-trained Transition Specialists

One-on-one support. A Transition Specialist, a highly trained professional assigned to each transitioning employee based on the employee’s career profile, will coach the impacted employee through this time of career transition. To start the employee in the program, a Transition Specialist will introduce the program, answer questions, and address concerns. Always available by phone or email, RiseSmart’s Transition Specialists are HR professionals who serve as guide, mentor, career coach, and support through the job search process. Transition Specialists meet with each employee at least once a week to offer advice, make recommendations, or to conduct mock interviews.

2. Cutting-edge Technology

Job Concierge. Powered by proprietary aggregation and semantic search tools, this unique solution delivers highly personalized job leads to each transitioning employee on a weekly basis. Employees get access to hand-selected jobs, chosen from millions of open positions in the RiseSmart database at any given time.

Job leads. Before employees get the listings, each job has been verified and matched to the employee’s profile by an HR professional to help ensure a perfect fit. Employees can also perform searches on their own for additional leads.

Job lead management. Employees can apply for jobs, research companies, set company watch lists for job alerts, connect with colleagues and share leads using integrated social networking, mark jobs for follow-up, send feedback, and more.

3. Individualized Career Content

Recommended articles, groups, events, and videos. Employees get a wide variety of customized articles about their industry, recommendations for groups to join or local events, and job-related videos—delivered directly to their job portal, weekly.

Manager Notification Training –At RiseSmart, we’re committed to your transition event running smoothly.  To help make that happen, we offer Manager Notification Training. It can be highly customized to meet your corporation’s needs,  and offered to your Human Resources professionals or  all of your managers who’ll be notifying employees of their separation from your company.  The training can be delivered in-person, or through online webinars.  The length of the training depends on the customization coordination with your Human Resources team. Our Manager Notification Training covers the following areas:

  • Preparation: We show your managers a process to prepare them to deliver notifications to impacted employees.  The training will cover everything from the importance of understanding the message and the exit information, to being personally prepared to speak to this subject.
  • Delivery:  The delivery portion of the training takes your managers through the step-by-step process of delivering a notification to an employee, including how to stay on message, how to be compassionate without being emotional or commiserating, and how to keep it to a 15 minute window.  We will even cover security concerns.
  • Follow Up:  How the time immediately following a workforce reduction is handled is critical to the long term health of your company.  We’ll go over some tips and tricks for keeping morale up, retaining employees, and moving forward.
  • FAQ’s:  Impacted employees always have an array of questions for their manager, and together with your HR department we’ll create an FAQ list for your managers that will help them answer those questions.   The FAQ list usually covers benefits/COBRA, severance, computers, cell phones, and how soon the employee’s desk needs to be cleaned out.  During the Manager Notification Training we’ll review these FAQ’s with the attendees.
  • RiseSmart:  In the last section of the training, we’ll familiarize your managers with RiseSmart’s services, what the packages entail, and how to determine which package their employees will be getting.  We’ll also go over the language we’ve developed with your HR team about explaining the RiseSmart service to their impacted employees so that they can end the notification meeting with a positive action item for the employee to take.
